Where is the least expensive state to own a vehicle?
Filed under: motor homes for sale

Where is the cheapest place to own a vehicle? I don’t think there is single source because all states are different. If people will list the expenses in their home state maybe an ultimate answer will be reached.

In North Carolina, you have to pay for annual registration/license around $35, Title when you first buy $45 (all vehicles must be titled no exception for antique cars), Sales tax at purchase 5 to 7 percent, annual property tax 2% and minimum insurance requirement cheapest $35 per month. Other vehicles which must have title and tag are water craft, campers, trailers, and motor cycles.

I think you will need to check every single state website for your answer; I don’t even have a table for that in my work database…
